Abstract

The aim of the study is to find an alternative structural design on Sayang Anak Maternity Hospital in Makale. The alternative used is to use a steel structure. The benefits of this research can provide insight into the use of steel profiles in building construction projects. This is considering that steel material has advantages over concrete in several parameters. In the calculation of this structural analysis using the LRFD (Load and Resistance Factor Design) method and using the SAP 2000 V.20 program for statics calculations and then proceeding with the calculation of beam and column dimensions and connection planning. From the results of the analysis, the dimensions for the main beam use a WF profile of 300 x 150 x 6.5 x 9, the sub-beam uses a WF profile of 150 x 75 x 5 x 7 and the column dimensions use an H-beam profile of 300 x 300 x 10 x 15. For the connection of the main beam with the subsidiary beams using 4 bolts 16 with a weld length of 1165 mm and the connection between columns using 6 bolts 22 with a weld length of 1749 mm.
